Our approach to privacy

West & Palm Studio respects your privacy and aims to collect only the information reasonably needed to respond to enquiries, discuss projects and provide our services.

Information we collect

When you contact us or submit a project enquiry, we may collect information you choose to provide, including your name, email address, business or organization name, website address, project type, approximate budget and details about your project. We may also retain correspondence exchanged with you.

How we use your information

We use this information to respond to enquiries, communicate about potential or active projects, prepare proposals or agreements, provide requested services, maintain appropriate business records, protect the security of our website and services, and meet legal or regulatory obligations where applicable.

Forms, hosting and email

Our website is hosted by Netlify. Website enquiry forms are processed through Netlify Forms. Email communications are handled through Google Workspace. These service providers may process information on our behalf in order to provide their services and are subject to their own privacy and security practices.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate the website or deliver our services, or when required by law. We do not share enquiry information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Cookies and analytics

With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand which pages people visit, where visits come from and whether visitors complete a project enquiry or choose an email link. Google Analytics is not loaded until you accept analytics cookies. Rejecting analytics does not prevent you from using the website or sending an enquiry. We do not send your name, email address, business details, budget or message contents to Analytics.

Our analytics records page paths, referring website domains, limited campaign information and interaction events, together with technical information processed by Google Analytics. We remove URL query strings and fragments from the page addresses sent to Analytics. Advertising personalization is disabled, and this website does not use the Meta Pixel.

Your analytics choice is stored in your browser for up to six months. If you accept, Google Analytics uses first-party cookies with a configured lifetime of up to 60 days. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie preferences in the footer. Withdrawing consent stops further analytics collection and removes this site’s Google Analytics cookies; it does not automatically delete information already collected. For more about Google’s processing, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

How long we keep information

We retain enquiry and business correspondence only for as long as reasonably useful for the purpose for which it was collected, for legitimate business record-keeping, or as required by law. Information that is no longer needed may be deleted or anonymized.

Your choices and rights

You may ask us to correct or delete personal information you have provided, subject to any legal or legitimate business reason that requires us to retain it. Depending on where you live, additional privacy rights may apply. To make a privacy request, email sarah@westandpalm.studio.

Children

This website and our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to a small business website, but no method of online transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the studio, website or services evolve. The current version and its effective date will always be published on this page.
